    Susan Stone, LPC

I strive to create a safe and supportive space where you feel comfortable exploring your life experiences.  My aim is to cultivate a therapeutic relationship you can trust.  I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive- Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and believe that our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health are deeply intertwined.  I have experience addressing individual concerns around anxiety, depression, self-esteem, codependency, negative core beliefs, relationship issues, addiction, grief and loss, negative self-talk, shame, and more.

Life is filled with many different seasons. Some of those seasons can be painful, stressful, confusing, or exhausting. When we walk through difficult seasons, sometimes we need someone walking alongside us.  Therapy can help us navigate life’s challenges while also learning self-compassion in the process.  As a counselor, I believe we are all capable of discovering our authentic self and living more fulfilling and intentional lives. I believe change, growth, and healing happen when we can honor our story and our experiences fully. I want to support you on this journey by offering a genuine, empathetic, and collaborative therapeutic relationship. I believe that there is something unique to every person that I see. It is in this uniqueness that I value the dignity of every person. My hope is that my approach to counseling will allow space to strengthen those areas in a person. Walking with people through some of their most difficult times is an honor and a responsibility that I do not take lightly.

“All of us, at some time or other, need help. Whether we’re giving or receiving help, each one of us has something valuable to bring to this world.” – Fred Rogers.

My passion is to help others see and know that value.
