Alexis earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Shenandoah University in 2021, laying the foundation for her commitment to understanding the complexities of the human mind. Currently, she is pursuing a Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of the Cumberlands, further honing her skills and knowledge to better serve her future clients.

Her dedication to mental health support began at VCU’s Children’s Mental Health facility, Virginia’s Treatment Center for Children. There, Alexis provided age-specific mental health support to children and adolescents undergoing treatment for psychiatric illnesses. This early experience solidified her commitment to creating a nurturing and supportive environment for those in need.

Building on her expertise, Alexis transitioned to become a behavioral specialist at St Joseph Villa’s Crisis Stabilization Unit. In this role, she became adept at leading psychoeducational group therapy sessions and offering direct professional crisis intervention and stabilization services to clients and their families. Alexis’s experience equipped her with the skills to navigate challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.

Beyond her professional life, Alexis finds solace and joy in nature.
